Description
Nucleus colonies (nucs) borrow from a strong colony to create another and rapidly as the smaller space makes it easier for the bees to control temperature and humidity which is vital for brood rearing. A nuc is started by moving a frame with capped or started queen cells from the main hive, into a nuc box that contains additional empty frames. These wooden nuc box are perfect for splitting hives.
